Introduction
Welcome to Rotur. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Rotur, operated by Sophie Kimber and the Rotur Team ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using any part of the Rotur ecosystem, including but not limited to the Rotur account system, Claw, originChats servers owned and operated by us, and any affiliated or third-party services that use rotur branding or rotur operated servers and services unless for personal, non-commercial use on privately-owned infrastructure, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use Rotur or any related services.
Our Mission: Rotur aims to make Turbowarp-based operating systems and other compatible environments more interconnected, secure, and easy to develop for. We believe in open, collaborative, and innovative digital experiences, and strive to provide a robust, user-friendly networking and account standard for the community.
Vision and Use Cases: Rotur is designed to enable seamless cross-platform experiences, such as cross-play gaming, collaborative editing, and unified authentication across diverse projects. Our goal is to empower developers and users to build and participate in a vibrant, interconnected ecosystem.
Definitions
- Rotur: The cloudlink-based networking packet standard, accounts system, and related services, including but not limited to Claw and originChats.
- User: Any individual or entity accessing or using Rotur services.
- Rotur Team: The developers and authorized personnel responsible for maintaining and operating Rotur.
- Content: Any data, files, text, images, or other material uploaded, submitted, or transmitted by users through Rotur.
- Services: All features, functionality, and offerings provided by Rotur, including third-party integrations.
1. Scope
These Terms apply to:
- The Rotur account system and its associated services
- Claw, a microblogging platform
- originChats, a decentralized messaging platform
- Any future or affiliated services operated by Rotur
- Third-party services that use Rotur for authentication
These Terms form a binding agreement between the user and the owner of Rotur (Sophie Kimber), regardless of which integrated service the user is accessing.
2. Service Description
Rotur is a unified account system designed to provide authentication and identity management for web-based operating systems and connected services. The platform offers:
- Account Management: Centralized user accounts with customizable profiles, themes, and personal settings
- Authentication Services: Single sign-on (SSO) capabilities for integrated services and third-party applications
- File Storage: Personal file storage and management capabilities
Service Limitations
Users acknowledge and accept the following limitations:
- The service is provided on a best-effort basis with no guaranteed uptime, performance, or availability.
- Features may be experimental, in beta, or subject to change or discontinuation at any time without notice.
- Storage capacity and bandwidth may be subject to reasonable limits to ensure fair usage.
- Third-party integrations may be discontinued or modified based on external factors.
- The platform is designed for personal and non-commercial use; enterprise features may be limited.
- Support is provided by a small team and response times may vary.
- Data backup and recovery capabilities may be limited; users are responsible for maintaining their own backups of important content.
3. The Rotur Team
Rotur is developed and maintained by Sophie Kimber and the Rotur Team, including Flufi and Layz. The Rotur Team is responsible for platform development, security, moderation, support, and community engagement. Team members may serve in roles such as developers, moderators, support staff, or community managers. While some team members may act on behalf of Rotur, direct access to servers and core infrastructure is restricted to authorized personnel only. Users can expect the Rotur Team to provide support, enforce these Terms, and foster a safe and welcoming environment. 4. Eligibility & Children’s Privacy
Use of Rotur is intended for individuals aged 13 and older. By using Rotur, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age. Users under the age of 13 are strictly prohibited from using the platform. If you are using Rotur on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Children’s Privacy: Rotur does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
5. Accounts and User Responsibilities
Users may register a Rotur account to access core functionality and related services. By doing so, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
- Use an identity that does not impersonate others or intentionally mislead, defraud, or harm.
- Maintain the security of your account by:
- Creating and using strong, unique passwords
- Not sharing account credentials with others
- Avoiding the disclosure of personal information that could compromise account security
- Promptly reporting any suspected unauthorized access or security breaches
- Logging out of shared or public devices
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your credentials.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in connection with your use of Rotur.
- Respect the rights and dignity of other users and the Rotur Team.
Examples of prohibited account activity include, but are not limited to: creating multiple accounts to evade bans, using automated scripts to access the service, or providing false information during registration.
Accounts may be suspended or terminated for any violation of these Terms by Sophie or authorized members of the Rotur Team. You are solely responsible for your conduct and any content you submit, post, or display on or via Rotur.
6. Data Collection, Privacy, and Data Retention
Rotur collects and stores the following data:
- Account data (e.g. username, optional email address)
- IP addresses (for moderation and security)
- Uploaded files and user-submitted profile content
- User-specific customization data (e.g. themes, wallpapers, banners)
- Transactional or activity history associated with the account
This data is used solely to operate, maintain, and moderate the platform. It will not be sold or shared with third parties except as required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Rotur, its users, or the public.
User data will be retained as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce these Terms. Users may request deletion of their data by contacting [email protected]. However, some data may be retained for a reasonable period as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
Third-Party Data Sharing: Rotur may integrate with third-party services for authentication or additional features. When you use these integrations, your data may be shared with those third parties as necessary to provide the service. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you use in connection with Rotur.

7. Content Guidelines and Prohibited Conduct
Users may upload files and customize their profile. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Illegal content or copyrighted material without permission (e.g., pirated software, unlicensed media)
- Malicious code, viruses, or harmful software (e.g., malware, ransomware, phishing tools)
- Harassment, impersonation, or abusive behavior (e.g., targeted harassment, doxxing, hate speech)
- NSFW Content as defined below
- Spam, scams, or fraudulent activity (e.g., pyramid schemes, phishing attempts, fake giveaways)
- Attempts to circumvent security or moderation systems (e.g., exploiting bugs, using proxies to evade bans)
- Any activity that violates applicable law or regulation
NSFW Content - Detailed Definitions
NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content is strictly prohibited and includes, but is not limited to:
Sexual Content
- Nudity: Any depiction of exposed genitals, female nipples, or buttocks, regardless of artistic intent
- Sexual Acts: Any visual depiction, illustration, or description of sexual activity,
including but not limited to:
- Intercourse, oral sex, or sexual touching
- Masturbation or sexual self-stimulation
- Sexual roleplay scenarios
- Sexually Suggestive Content: Content that implies or suggests sexual activity,
including:
- Poses that emphasize or draw attention to sexual body parts
- Clothing or lack thereof intended to be sexually arousing (lingerie modeled in suggestive poses, swimwear in non-beach/pool contexts with suggestive posing)
- Text, usernames, or descriptions with sexual innuendo or explicit sexual references
- "Ahegao" faces or expressions designed to simulate sexual arousal
- Fetish Material: Any content depicting or catering to sexual fetishes, including
but not limited to:
- BDSM equipment, scenarios, or roleplay
- Foot fetish content (sexualized depictions of feet)
- Any content sexualizing non-sexual objects or scenarios
Violence and Gore
- Graphic Violence: Real or realistic depictions of:
- Severe injury with visible blood, wounds, or bodily harm
- Torture, mutilation, or dismemberment
- Death or dying in graphic detail
- Gore: Any content showing:
- Internal organs, exposed bone, or severe tissue damage
- Excessive blood or bodily fluids in violent contexts
- Decomposition or corpses in graphic detail
Age-Related Restrictions
- Minors in Inappropriate Content: Any content featuring individuals under 18 in:
- Revealing clothing or poses
- Adult-oriented scenarios or contexts
- Content that could be construed as sexualizing minors in any way
Platform-Specific Applications
This NSFW restriction applies universally across all Rotur services including:
- Profile pictures and banners
- Account usernames and display names
- Biography and status text
- File uploads and shared content
- Claw posts, replies, and media attachments
- originChats messages, server names, and channel content
- Any content hosted on Rotur infrastructure
- Third-party service integrations using Rotur authentication
Content Review Process
Automated Detection
- Content is subject to automated scanning for prohibited material
- Flagged content is automatically hidden pending manual review
- Users will be notified when content is flagged for review
Manual Review Criteria
Content moderators will apply the following standards:
- Context Consideration: Artistic, educational, or news context does not exempt content from NSFW rules
- Intent Irrelevant: Content is judged by its appearance and potential impact, not creator intent
- Community Standards: Content must be appropriate for a general audience including 13+ users
- Borderline Content: When in doubt, content will be classified as NSFW and removed
Appeals Process
Users may appeal content removal decisions:
- Initial Appeal: Submit appeal within 7 days of removal notice via support channels
- Review Timeline: Appeals are reviewed within 5 business days
- Appeal Decision: Final decision communicated with specific reasoning
- Escalation: Decisions may be escalated to Platform Owner for final review
- False Claims: Repeated frivolous appeals may result in account restrictions

Reporting Mechanisms
Users can report NSFW content via:

- Emergency Reports: For illegal content, contact authorities and notify us immediately
Content Creator Responsibilities
Users uploading content must:
- Review all content before uploading to ensure compliance
- Understand that "accidental" violations are still violations
- Take responsibility for content shared through their accounts
- Monitor content shared by others using their integrations or services
Regular Policy Updates
These content guidelines may be updated to address new types of prohibited content or clarify existing definitions. Users will be notified of significant changes and given reasonable time to comply with updated standards.
8. Fees and Payments
Rotur operates as a free service with optional paid features and an internal credit system. Users should be aware of the following:
Current Service Model
- Account creation and basic platform access are provided at no cost
- Core features including authentication, file storage (within limits), and integrated services are free to use
- Premium features and services may require credits or direct payment
- No credit card or payment information is required for standard account registration
Payment Features
Rotur offers optional paid features and premium services with the following terms:
- Billing Practices: All charges are clearly disclosed before purchase, with transparent pricing and billing cycles
- Payment Processing: Payments are processed through secure third-party providers with industry-standard security measures
- Refund Policy: Refund eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis, with consideration for service availability and user satisfaction
- Subscription Terms: Any recurring charges require explicit user consent and include clear cancellation procedures
Internal Currency and Credits
Rotur operates an internal credit system with the following terms:
- Credits are virtual currency used within the Rotur ecosystem and have no real-world monetary value through official channels
- Rotur will never provide official means to exchange credits for cash or real-world monetary value
- Users may engage in private exchanges or transactions for credits outside of official Rotur channels at their own discretion and risk
- Credits may be earned through platform activities and participation
- Credits may expire or be subject to terms of use specific to their intended purpose
- Users may not transfer, sell, or exchange credits with other users unless explicitly permitted by platform features
- Users may not use bots, scripts, automated tools, or any form of artificial intelligence to earn credits or participate in credit-generating activities. All credit earning must be through genuine human interaction and participation
- Misuse of credits, including fraudulent acquisition, exploitation of system vulnerabilities, unauthorized generation, or violations of intended use, may result in credit forfeiture and account suspension
- Rotur reserves the right to control, adjust, modify, or discontinue credit balances, credit systems, or credit programs at any time without prior notice
- Credit transactions and balances are subject to platform monitoring for security and fraud prevention
Prohibited Financial Activities
Users may NOT:
- Use Rotur services to conduct or incentivize illegal financial activities
- Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or abuse any payment or credit systems
- Engage in money laundering, fraud, or other financial crimes through the platform
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent payment limitations or obtain additional free services
Service Changes
Rotur reserves the right to:
- Introduce paid features or modify the service model with appropriate notice to users
- Discontinue free services or features if necessary for platform sustainability
- Update pricing, billing terms, or payment policies with advance notification
Significant changes to the service model will be communicated to users with reasonable advance notice.
9. Third-Party Services
Rotur may be used to log into or interact with third-party services not owned or operated by the platform owner. These services:
- May have their own Terms of Service and Privacy Policies
- Are not moderated or maintained by Rotur
- Are solely responsible for their own content, behavior, and data use
Users are encouraged to review the policies of any third-party service before use. Misuse of Rotur accounts through third-party services may result in suspension or termination of the associated Rotur account.
10. Suspension and Termination
Sophie and authorized members of the Rotur Team reserve the right to:
- Suspend, restrict, or terminate any account for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or security concerns
- Remove or delete user data at their discretion
- Deny access to any or all parts of Rotur and related services without prior notice
Upon termination, your right to use Rotur will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
User Recourse and Appeal: If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may contact the Rotur Team at [email protected] to request a review. While we strive to be fair and transparent, all suspension and termination decisions are at the sole discretion of the Rotur Team and may be final.
11. Availability and Disclaimer of Warranties
No guarantee is made regarding the uptime, performance, or future availability of Rotur or any related services. Features may be added, removed, or changed at any time. Rotur is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
12. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, service marks, logos, trade names, and intellectual property on the Rotur platform are the exclusive property of Sophie Kimber (owner of Rotur) or their respective owners. This includes but is not limited to:
- The Rotur name, logo, and branding
- Platform design, user interface, and user experience elements
- Documentation, help materials, and promotional content
- Service marks and trademarks associated with Rotur, Claw, and originChats
User Content Rights
Users retain ownership of content they create and upload to Rotur. However, by using the platform, users grant Rotur a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- Store, display, and distribute user content as necessary to provide the service
- Make technical modifications (such as format conversion or compression) for platform functionality
- Allow other users to view and interact with content according to the user's privacy settings
This license terminates when content is deleted from the platform, except for content that has been shared with or cached by other users or services.
Permitted Use
Users may:
- Reference Rotur in connection with their legitimate use of the service
- Share screenshots or descriptions of their Rotur experience for personal, educational, or review purposes
- Use Rotur branding when developing integrations or third-party services that support Rotur authentication
Prohibited Use
Users may NOT:
- Use the Rotur name, logo, or branding for commercial purposes unrelated to Rotur authentication or integration
- Create derivative works, modifications, or competing services using Rotur's intellectual property
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Rotur services
- Register domain names, social media accounts, or trademarks that contain or are confusingly similar to Rotur branding
- Imply endorsement, partnership, or affiliation with Rotur without authorization
13. Copyright Infringement and DMCA Policy
Rotur respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact our Copyright Agent at [email protected] with the following information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- URL or reference to the infringing content
- Contact information
- Statement of good faith and accuracy
- Your physical or electronic signature
Upon receipt of a valid notice, Rotur will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include removal of the infringing content.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rotur, its owner, developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use or inability to use the service; (b) any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein; (c) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the service; (d) any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through our service by any third party; or (e) any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the service, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and whether or not Rotur has been informed of the possibility of such damage.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rotur, its owner, developers, affiliates, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of and access to the service; (b) your violation of any term of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right; or (d) any claim that your content caused damage to a third party.
16. Changes to These Terms
Rotur reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When changes are made:
- Users will be required to review and accept the updated Terms before continuing to use Rotur services
- The updated Terms will be presented to users upon their next login or service access
- Users who do not accept the updated Terms will not be able to access Rotur services until acceptance is provided
- Continued use of the service after accepting updated Terms constitutes agreement to the new provisions
Users are responsible for reviewing the most current version of these Terms and understanding any changes that may affect their use of the service.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of Rotur services will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in the United Kingdom. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection as to inconvenient forum.
18. Export Controls and Compliance
You may not use, export, re-export, import, or transfer Rotur except as authorized by United Kingdom law, the laws of the jurisdiction in which you obtained Rotur, and any other applicable laws. In particular, but without limitation, Rotur may not be exported or re-exported (a) into any UK-embargoed countries or (b) to anyone on the UK Treasury sanctions list or similar lists. By using Rotur, you represent and warrant that you are not located in any such country or on any such list.
19. Force Majeure
Rotur shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations hereunder where such failure results from any cause beyond Rotur's reasonable control, including, without limitation, mechanical, electronic, or communications failure or degradation, acts of God, war, terrorism, strikes, labor disputes, civil disturbances, government actions, or interruptions in internet services.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Rotur regarding your use of the service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings regarding such subject matter. No waiver of any provision of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.
22. User Feedback and Suggestions
We welcome feedback, suggestions, and ideas from our users. By submitting feedback to Rotur, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, and incorporate your feedback into our services without any obligation to compensate you. While we value your input, we are not obligated to implement any suggestions or respond to every submission.
23. Beta and Experimental Features
Some features of Rotur may be released as beta or experimental. These features are provided "as is" and may be changed, discontinued, or removed at any time. By using beta or experimental features, you acknowledge and accept the associated risks, including potential data loss, instability, or incompatibility. We encourage users to provide feedback on these features to help us improve the platform.
